Everyone agrees that no child should ever go through this. It’s not until it actually kicks you in the teeth that we realize how fragile life is. April 4 was Easter, April 5 he turned 3, and April 6 he is a cancer patient. I will be the first to admit that I have cried till my eyes throbbed in pain. But as we push forward in this fight, I can honestly say that more and more of those tears are out of the touching of hearts and hope and love.
Every prayer, every comment, every picture, every word means something to Redd and his family. Keep the prayers and love and support coming in. Just because he is home doesn’t mean the fight is over. This will be a long road and we are blessed to have each and every one of you!

Little man has a port to his heart. The spinal fluid came back negative, so it has not made it into his spinal fluid yet. He is on 4 different chemo drugs at this time. So far, no noticeable reactions to the chemo meds so we will take that as a win. This is going to be a bit of a fight. Rapid treatment for the next 1-2 weeks then treatment every day till they hit 28 days. Then it is possible for once a week for the next 6 months. It seems like a massive amount for his little body, but we have faith in the doctors and nurses to work magic on him.

Yesterday was an amazing day. Redd had another spinal tap along with 2 chemo treatments. After he recovered from those Hailey and Tara was allowed to bring little man home. He held onto us like glue the rest of the afternoon and evening. He did not want to go to sleep because he was just too excited to be at Nana and Paw Paws lol. He is starting to show some minimal hair loss and is still getting sick but that is to be expected. We are just glad to have him home. Even the smallest blessing is still a blessing!
When I started this page to update friends and family, I never imagined it would grow like it has. Everyone in our little family is amazed at the outpouring of love and support for Redd. It truly touches our hearts as we watch prayers, love and support come in from our community and all over the U.S. churches - fire departments - biker clubs- old and new friends - old classmates - prayer groups- cancer groups - even total strangers that have seen his fight and was touched to stand with us.

Update on little man we got some basically salty saline in him last night and throughout today has Labs were stable and then they went back down so they've been pulling Labs every 2 to 3 hours and so far his sodium is not saying where it needs to be on its own he's still not eating even though has been cleared his chemo doctor came in today to talk 2 me he said that the labs came back that he has a hormone deficiency going on that's forcing him to retain water and not be able to pee out the full amount that he's supposed to and he said that they're probably going to put him on some medicine they're not sure yet they're bringing his endocrinologist on to help with his treatment now because of his septo-optic dysplasia he was diagnosed at almost 2 years old with that and they're starting to think that either the chemo has caused it or his septo-optic dysplasia is causing it they're not sure yet but they keep doing labs and we're going to go from there of course a lot of you know that this means our Hospital stay is going to be longer.
