Nomination for Our Board of Directors

NCAFED is currently accepting nominations for candidates for the NCAFED Board of Directors. Please see below requirements that each candidate must meet in order to be eligible to serve. Nominations must be submitted no later than August 1, 2024. All nominations will be reviewed by the Nominating Committee and nominees will be notified if selected and will be asked to submit a signed statement (see below) they understand the duties, responsibilities and requirements to allow their name to run for a Board of Directors position. Upon receipt of notification, a brief bio about all nominees will need to be submitted by August 15, 2024.  Board of Directors Statement of Agreement The role of the NCAFED Board of Directors is to work together to raise the level of professionalism of the fire protection industry in North Carolina and to serve as representatives of the members of NCAFED.

Those elected to serve on the Board of Directors commit:

• to attend all meetings of the Board of Directors, which consist of four quarterly board meetings, and any other special meetings which may be called.  Meetings may be conducted in person or by phone. 
• Serve, if called to do so, on special committees or as appointed by the Chairperson.
• Serve as a representative at special events.
• Maintain membership in good standing as required by NCAFED Bylaws.
